Derby County Community Trust’s popular 1884 Wall returns to general sale today - after raising over £11,000 towards the running of the Pride Park Sensory Room in 2021.
This year, the Community Trust will be directing all proceeds towards the new Harrison’s Hub, in the Community Corner at Pride Park Stadium.
Any funds will be invested into the Rams Family Support programme, which will provide community meals, warm packs and open access sessions to support families and fans with the ongoing cost of living crisis this winter.
The aim is to generate £13,000 to provide £1,000 worth of food and activity during each week from January through to March.
Fans can purchase one of three block types to pledge their support: a standard name block (£10), a VIP block with a message (£20) or a brand new 1884 block (£18.84) - where names will appear within the 1884 section of the wall.
Simon Carnall, Head of Community at the Community Trust, said: “We were blown away with fans’ generosity last year, which ensured that we could run the Pride Park Sensory Room for this season.
“Coupled with the Rams Family Fund, the support we received was unprecedented.
“We’re acutely aware of the challenges being faced by many in the current financial climate and want to do our utmost to respond to local need.
“Our long-term partners at Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance have seen requests increase by 25% already this winter, so we are committing our support to those who will really benefit from the community meals we will be hosting at the stadium.
“Purchasing a block on the wall will truly help us make a difference this winter, and provide Rams fans with the opportunity to see their name displayed at Pride Park Stadium.”
All purchases will be supplied with a downloadable certificate, making an ideal Christmas gift.
The 1884 Wall will be installed for the Sky Bet League One fixture against Bolton Wanderers at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday 21st January 2023 (3pm kick-off). All names will remain in place from January to December 2023.
