Derby County defender Craig Forsyth believes the side showed a different side to themselves in the 0-0 draw with Portsmouth on Friday evening.

With numerous injuries going into the match, the Rams had to dig deep to get the job done against one of their Sky Bet League One promotion rivals and Forsyth believes they did just that.

He caught up with RamsTVafter the clash at Fratton Park to give his verdict on the performance.

On the result...

We lost another couple of lads yesterday to injury so we knew we'd be struggling for numbers but everyone played their part and the substitutes that came on made a difference and helped us see out the game well.

On having to regularly change systems...

It's difficult and with the short turnaround between games we don't really have a lot of time to work on it. It's a case of come in, recover, prepare and go again.

We've not had a lot of time to work on things but we're showing we're taking on the messages that the staff are giving us and we dug in and took a good point.

On the defensive resilience...

We defended the box really well and kept them at arms length really. We had a few chances ourselves to nick it on the break and we showed a different side to ourselves that we can dig in.

On having a couple of chances to score...

The one in the first-half I just didn't see it until the last minute and it managed to sneak the other side of the post and late on Cash flicked the ball on and, maybe, if I keep going I can get a toe on it.

We said at 0-0 set-pieces were what we could win it on tonight and we were very close at the end.

On five league games unbeaten...

It's all about building momentum and confidence in the group. We started a bit up and down but we've put some steady form together and hopefully we can keep it going now.

On the travelling fans...

They've been excellent all season but especially these last 10 days, we've had some really long trips and we really appreciate it.
