Derby County fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Ipswich Town on Friday evening.

Wes Burns scored the only goal of the game in the second half of the Sky Bet League One fixture as the hosts picked up all three points.

Rams defender Eiran Cashin caught up with RamsTV after full-time to give his verdict on what proved to be a frustrating night against the Tractor Boys.

On the performance…

We are disappointed. I think out of possession we were good but in possession we could have been better.

We defended well for the majority of the game and a little mistake cost us but I don’t think we need to beat ourselves up. We’ve got a lot of matches coming up so we’ve just got to brush it off and get ready for the next one.

On the atmosphere in the changing room following the loss…

We’re disappointed that we lost and disappointed that in possession we could have been better. Our decision making could have been better but we still need to be positive. The lads in there are disappointed but we know with the bigger picture and we can brush ourselves off and go again on Tuesday.

On the positives from tonight…

Ipswich are a good team and for them to have so few clear chances is a credit to what we did out of possession.

We’re disappointed with the goal but we put our bodies on the line and came away from home to a difficult place and stopped them playing how they want to play and limited their chances.

Sometimes it spilled over and the fact we were working so hard out of possession meant we didn’t take as much care in possession. That’s something we need to look at.

On the quick turnaround…

Sometimes that’s the best thing when you have to just go again. Dust yourselves down, get recovered and go again. Hopefully we can get back to winning ways at home next week and put a run together.

On the travelling support…

It’s unbelievable really. From the first whistle, they kept going and spurred us on. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the win for them but we’re just going to have to put it right Tuesday.
