Derby County will round off a run of four successive home fixtures at Pride Park Stadium when they host Plymouth Argyle in Sky Bet League One on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know…

Team News

Captain Curtis Davies remains out of action after injuring his quad muscle in training last month. The 37-year-old centre-back has been out of action for almost a month and is close to returning to full training.

Central defender James Chester is making steady progress after missing all of Derby's matches so far this season due to an achilles issue. The defender featured twice during pre-season following his arrival from Stoke City in July but is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Rams. He is not yet back in training but is upping his workload.

Goalkeeper Joseph Anang, who joined the club from West Ham United on a season-long loan deal last month, picked up an arm injury in training recently and is set to be out of action until the end of September or early October.

Midfielder Korey Smith is set to miss out after suffering an injury to his toe after coming off the bench in the 2-1 home success against Peterborough United last weekend and is expected to return to action next weekend.

After joining on a season-long loan deal from Championship side Sheffield United on Transfer Deadline Day, Liam Rosenior must decide if he is to include forward William Osula in the matchday squad or allow him to have more time on the training ground with his new team-mates before bringing him into the fold.

Manager Views

Interim Manager Liam Rosenior sat down with RamsTV in the lead-up to Saturday's game as Derby go in search of a fourth successive win on home turf in the league this season.

He said: "This is another big test for us, just like Peterborough was last weekend and we came through that with flying colours. Plymouth are a very good team and they are well coached, which is reflected in their points total already. They’ve made some good recruitment and have a long-term plan that is visible. We have to maintain our preparation and professionalism. We’ve had a tough start in terms of the matches we’ve played at home this year against some strong sides, but it has been a real benchmark to see where we are at in this league. It has been a learning experience for us all; it is one thing watching matches but being involved in them is totally different. I feel we have the ingredients for a successful season and we’re on the right track, but we want to keep it going."

From The Dressing Room

Midfielder Max Bird caught up with RamsTV to preview this weekend's clash to round off a run of four successive matches on home turf.

He said: "Our home form has been brilliant. We can still play much better football and aren’t the finished article because we have a lot to improve on - and we keep working on that on the training pitch. It’s those little details that are going to help us. It was another good performance on Tuesday night from the team against Grimsby and we need to keep raising our levels. We want to be promoted as champions of this league, that’s what we have to aim for. When we’re on a good run, we can’t get complacent and if we’re not scoring goals, we can’t get down about that. It’s something that we keep working on. We’ll keep focused, keep our heads down and keep going. Every match is tough in this league. We’re in a good place at the minute and are scoring goals. We’re enjoying it as a team, we’re playing well together but there’s a lot more to improve on."

Match Officials

Ollie Yates has been appointed as the Match Referee for Saturday's game at Pride Park Stadium.

Yates oversaw 28 matches in all competitions last season, showing 95 yellow cards and four reds, while he was also in charge of Derby's Carabao Cup Round One tie against Barrow in the 2020/21 season.

He will be assisted by Stephen Wadeand Anthony Moore on the lines, whilst Declan Bourne has been appointed as the fourth official.

Matchday Programme

The Ram is back for its fourth league edition of the 2022/23 season at the weekend.

And what better way to savour the spine-tingling atmosphere once again than with a treasured copy of ‘The Ram’ in hand?

The club has teamed up with Ignition Publications to bring the programme back for the first time since the 2019/20 season and there is no more fitting accompaniment to a matchday than The Ram, which is packed with exclusive interviews, content, statistics and insight.

The A5-size 52-page perfect-bound editions will be available to purchase around the ground for £3, but you can also reserve every league edition from the campaign via a seasonal subscription with Ignition Publications, with details available below.

The fourth edition of the season features an exclusive interview with forward Tom Barkhuizen, who talks about his summer switch to the Rams and how he believes there's some much potential to unlock in the Derby squad.

This weekend's edition of The Ram includes:

* Tom Barkhuizen exclusive interview
* Interim Manager Liam Rosenior's latest column, where he discusses the latest Derby news
* Captain's verdict from Curtis Davies, who reflects on last week's win over Peterborough
* The latest look at some of the most memorable moments in the first 25 years of Pride Park Stadium

Order Your Copy Of The Ram

You can pre-order your copy of The Ram, or subscribe for the season, from the club’s official publishing partners Ignition Sports Media by visiting ignitionsportsmedia.com/products/derby-county-full-season-subscription-2022-23.

The package covers all 23 of Derby’s home League One fixtures, starting this weekend, but subscribers will only pay for 22 editions meaning this is the cheapest way of staying up to date with your beloved club if you can’t make every game.

The treasured issues will be produced to a schedule that allows for a first-class mail out on the Friday before a weekend fixture, with midweek editions despatched on the day of the game, but this is not a pre-event delivery service.

The price to reserve this collection of memorabilia is £115, including post and packaging, or you can spread the cost by signing up to a half-season subscription for £64 until 2023 for the first 12 games.

Subscriptions do not include any additional domestic cup or play-off matches, which must be purchased separately.

* Please note that this subscription is not for supporters Overseas, but an Overseas Bundle is available for all editions for 2022/23 which will be despatched by international tracked courier on two occasions during the season.
