Team News
Defender Curtis Davies is back in training after recovering from a quad injury that he sustained in training last month. His spell out of action ruled him out of seven matches but, after resuming training last week, he is set to feature in the matchday squad for the first time since early August.
Centre-back James Chester has returned to training last week after missing all of Derby’s matches so far this season with an achilles issue. He is not expected to be involved in the matchday squad against the Imps as he continues to build up his fitness.
Midfielder Korey Smith remains out of action with a toe problem that he sustained in the 2-1 home win over Peterborough United at the end of August. Smith is close to returning to training but the summer signing from Swansea City still needs time to allow his toe to heal before doing so.
On-loan West Ham United goalkeeper Joseph Anang suffered a hairline fracture to his arm in training last month and he is still waiting for the fracture to heal before returning to training, although this isn’t expected for a number of weeks.
Manager's Views
Interim Manager Liam Rosenior sat down with RamsTV in the lead-up to the Rams' clash against the Imps.
He said: "I feel like the lads are champing at the bit to play because we’ve
had to wait ten days or so since the Plymouth match. Lincoln are a
difficult side to beat and they play a nice style of football. Mark
Kennedy has gone in there with a clear idea of how he wants them to
play. They have similar principles to us, with a few tweaks. From a
tactical aspect, we need to be really good in this match. We also need
to be disciplined and organised in how we play. Lincoln have some
outstanding individual and technical players but, as I always say, it is
about us. If we play how we know we can, and with the right intensity,
we will give ourselves a very good chance of winning the game."
From The Dressing Room
Midfielder Conor Hourihane spoke to RamsTV ahead of the meeting with the Imps and to review his and Derby's start to the 2022/23 season.
He said: "It’ll be a tough game, as always. There’s not an easy game
in this league, especially away from home, so we’ll need to be bang at it.
We’ll have a big following, who will put demands on us to dominate and win the
game. It’s not going to be easy but we’re looking forward to the challenge."
Rams On The Road
Ahead of each away game this season we'll be running a feature via RamsTV called 'Rams On The Road'.
In the fourth instalment of the season, we look at our opponents in detail ahead of the first league meeting between the clubs since 1986.
Match Officials
Thomas Kirk has been
appointed as the Match Referee for Tuesday night's game.
The official has taken charge of seven matches so far in the 2022/23 campaign, showing 30 yellow cards and no reds in all competitions.
He will be assisted by Anthony Da Costa and Lisa Rashid on the lines, whilst Anthony Moore has been appointed as the fourth official.
Ticket Information
Derby's full allocation of tickets for the midweek clash have sold out.
The Rams were handed a total allocation of 2,042 tickets for the match and these have now completely sold out.
Those fans without a ticket are advised not to make the journey to Lincoln, as they will be unable to gain access to the stadium.
