Derby County wishes to provide an update to supporters in relation to the scheduled Sky Bet League One fixture against Cheltenham Town later this month.
The visit of Cheltenham to Pride Park Stadium is scheduled to take place on Saturday 24th September (3pm kick-off), a date which falls during a weekend where international matches are scheduled.
A number of the Rams’ players have received provisional international call-ups in recent days and EFL clubs are able to postpone a fixture should three or more of their players be away on international duty.
Matches, however, are not able to be called off until final squads have been announced by each nation and these details are not expected until just over a week before the fixture is due to be played.
The club wishes to make supporters aware of the potential postponement as early as possible, particularly when it comes to buying match tickets and planning their journey to Pride Park Stadium.
A further update will be provided once confirmation is received either way, but should the match be moved to an alternative date then tickets already purchased will remain valid for the re-arranged date.
