Interim Manager Liam Rosenior continues to prepare Derby County for the start of the 2022/23 Sky Bet League One campaign and has named his starting line-up for the Rams’ third pre-season friendly against Stevenage.
It’s another chance to step up preparations ahead of the new campaign and put work from the training ground into match practise, this time against League Two opposition Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium.
Curtis Davies will captain the side, whilst some players will be expected to play the full 90 minutes owing to the Rams only naming eight substitutes.
Winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored the only goal of the game as Derby beat Hertha Berlin 1-0 at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday, and he starts again whilst Tom Barkhuizen, who opened his account for the Rams in their first pre-season fixture in a 2-0 victory over Bradford City at Valley Parade ten days ago, will get some game-time in the second half.
Summer recruit Conor Hourihane also features from the start, as does James Collins who will lead the attack for the Rams.
