Derby County duo Jason Knight and Eiran Cashin headed to Derby County Community Trust's popular holiday coaching session at Belper Leisure Centre on Tuesday afternoon.
The first team players greeted the children on the course before taking part in some skills, drills and games.
Despite a busy Easter Bank Holiday, the Academy graduates were happy to put the primary-aged children through their paces.
Midfielder Knight said: "It's really important to keep in touch with the community and to see all the boys and girls enjoying their football is great. Long may it continue.”
Cashin added: “It's always nice to come out in the local community meet the kids and see them express and enjoy themselves. It is great to be able to give back to the community as well.”
Richard Mansfield, Schools and Coaching Manager at the Community Trust, said: “It was great to have the players down with us at Belper.
“It's been a long time since restrictions have allowed us welcome the first team to sessions, and after such a busy footballing weekend we really appreciate them coming today.
“It truly provides the children on the course with a unique opportunity, and we know they will go home with a smile on their faces.”
