Following a successful return of the Derby 10K for the first time since 2019, Derby County Community Trust are thrilled to announce that 2022 entries will be on sale from today, as the race reverts back to its usual springtime slot.

Taking place on Sunday 10th April 2022, the event will also return to its full capacity, which was reduced in light of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions set by UK Athletics.

This will be the 20th time the race has taken over the city streets, and organisers Derby County Community Trust, alongside headline sponsors HUUB Design, have a number of plans to celebrate the anniversary.

The first exclusive discount will see £20 entries until 20th October in recognition of the milestone.

Entry types unchanged, and runners will receive this £5 discount on all individual entries in the first 48 hours of sale, from 12pm on Monday 18th October to 12pm on Wednesday 20th October.

In recognition of the anniversary colour, emerald, the event will also be ‘going green’, and stepping up its eco efforts which were kickstarted at this year’s event by Environmental Partner, Utilita Energy.

Emma Pilgrim, Events and Fundraising Manager at the Community Trust said: “It was amazing to return to a real-life event yesterday. While we saw incredible support for our virtual offer, to get back to delivering the event for our runners in person has been a long time coming.

“Despite the rain, we saw some amazing times achieved on the course and have had some brilliant feedback about our volunteers and marshals, who are absolutely pivotal to the event’s success.

“Having the support of HUUB Design, a local company, as we head into our 20th anniversary event only amplifies how important this race is to the city and we can’t wait to be back at capacity next April, watching thousands of runners take on the challenge.”

Yesterday’s event saw two new winners crowned, in Samuel Moakes (30:51) and Rebecca Miller (40:32). WeBuyCycle retained their Business Team title, with running times of 35:20, 36:37, 37:36 and 37:36 combining to give the quickest team total.

Provisional results are available at derby10k.co.uk/race-results.
