Derby County’s Kamil Jozwiak came off the bench for Poland on Tuesday night as they faced Russia in an international friendly ahead the upcoming UEFA European Championships.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw at Stadion Miejski in the Polish city of Wrocław, with Jozwiak coming off the bench after 56 minutes to claim his 13th cap for his country.
Poland took the lead early in the game through Jakub Swierczok of Piast Gliwice, only for Zenit St Petersburg’s Vyacheslav Karavayev to equalise for the visitors at the halfway stage of the first half.
Jozwiak entered the action just before the hour mark and showed glimpses of quality going forward as the hosts sought to claim a winning goal.
Next up for Poland is another home friendly, against Iceland at Stadion Miejski in Poznań, next Tuesday (8th June) before the European Championships get underway.
Poland will face Slovakia, Spain and Sweden in the group stages of the tournament later this month.
