Derby County’s players sported a unique look to their match shirts for the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round tie against Manchester United at Pride Park Stadium on Thursday 5th March - and they are now being auctioned off to help raise vital funds for the club’s charity partners.

In a first for the Rams, the back of the players’ shirts were donned with the club’s official typeface on both the names and numbers. The specially designed names and numbers were added to the shirts exclusively for the FA Cup clash against the Red Devils, which saw Derby skipper Wayne Rooney reunited with the club he scored a club-record 253 goals for between 2004 and 2017.

Supporters are now able to bid to win a unique piece of club history and help support three local charities at the same time. Profits raised from the auction will be donated to Derby County’s charity partners; Derbyshire Carers Association, me&dee and Safe & Sound. All three charities support children within the Derbyshire community in their own individual ways.

Each member of the Derby squad had two shirts produced for the match and one shirt from each player is now available to purchase through the auction. Each shirt will be personally signed on the back of the shirt and a certificate of authenticity will be supplied.

The photographs are for illustration purposes only, not from the actual game.
