Mercia Image Limited, a commercial printing company based in Little Eaton, has set themselves the task to fundraise £30,000 over 30 days in June.
The project is named '30 Days of Giving' and is in celebration of 30 years of since the printing company began, and 30 local charities will be benefiting from the final total raised – including the Derby County Community Trust.
As part of the month of fundraising, the Community Trust are hosting a Family Fun Day event at Markeaton Park on Saturday 15th June from 11am to 3pm.
Rammie’s Treasure Trail will be staged on the day and those in attendance are invited to find Rammie’s secret word and unlock the chance to win a Derby County signed shirt.
There are lots of Derby County goodies to be won and you can even take a penalty in Rammie’s penalty shoot-out.
The Treasure Trail will take approximately an hour to complete and will cost £10 per family or £5 for individuals.
All proceeds will go to the Mercia Image Print '30 Days of Giving' project set up by Amanda Strong, Managing Director of the commercial print company, who said: “We are delighted to be working with Derby County Community Trust, Treetops Hospice Care, The Breakfast Club, Big C Little C and Children First Derby as the five major charities.
"Mercia are arranging a series of fund-raising events throughout June 2019 and the objectives will be to have fun, meet other like-minded people and try to raise as much money as possible for the five major charities as well as 25 other local charities.
“The aim is £30,000 over a period of 30 days. We want Derby to join together for 30 days to support an event throughout June 2019 to raise funds. Anyone or any company can take part in the 30 Days of Giving campaign.
“All monies raised will be donated to the 30 charities.”
Derby County fans have already shown their generosity towards the scheme as nearly £1,000 was collected at the Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg against Leeds United last month.
