The Derby County Community Trust’s annual fundraiser, the Colin Bloomfield Charity Cricket Cup, is to take place next month.
The event will take place on Sunday 14th July, from 12pm, with the game starting at 2pm.
Taking place at Spondon Cricket Club, the Derby County All Stars team are set to defend their crown against their Spondon counterparts.
The Rams’ team has stormed to victory in each of the last two years and ready to take to the field this year are former stars Roger Davies, Craig Ramage, Seth Johnson, Marc Edworthy, Mark Stallard and Michael Johnson *.
They are set to be joined by the club’s matchday announcer Matt McGibbon, with further ex-Derby players set to be added to the line-up too.
The ‘Ram Slam’ is an annual fixture which provides a full day of entertainment for all the family with a penalty shoot-out against club mascot Rammie, burger and ice-cream vans, a raffle and a chocolate tombola being just some of the activities available on the day.
A range of fantastic prizes will be up for grabs on the raffle, including Director’s Box tickets at Pride Park Stadium, a 32″ TV and signed Rams merchandise.
Entry on the day is taken on the door at just £2 for adults, while children are admitted FREE of charge. Families are welcome to bring their own picnics with the bar being open on site too.
Derby County Community Trust is grateful for the efforts of Neil Bennett, who organises the event every year and has helped to raise thousands of pounds over the years.
