Louie Sibley and Morgan Whittaker both came off the bench as England Under-18s began their Slovakia Cup campaign with a 1-0 win against Russia.
The pair were called up after playing a key role as Derby County Under-18s won the Premier League title with a 5-2 victory against Arsenal nearly two weeks ago.
18-year-old Arsenal forward Tyreece John-Jules scored the only goal of the game after 25 minutes to get the Three Lions off to a winning start in Slovakia, with the two Derby starlets appearing in the second half.
Sibley's appearance was his first for the Under-18s, having previously won eight caps at Under-17 level, while Whittaker came on for his sixth game with this age group.
England are back in action tomorrow at 5pm, when they will face hosts Slovakia.
