Manager Frank Lampard has once again paid tribute to the Derby County supporters ahead of the final game of the regular Sky Bet Championship season.
The Rams face West Bromwich Albion this afternoon (12:30pm kick off) and know a victory will seal their place in the play-off positions.
It’s set to be a bumper-crowd at Pride Park Stadium for the game with so much at stake and the manager was keen to thank the fans who have turned out in their numbers throughout the season to support his side.
“I am very thankful. I think the fans know that, I speak about them a lot for their backing both home and away,” he told RamsTV.
“Particularly at home recently, alongside the good results we are getting, the fans are part of it. Away from home they have been incredible.
“We need them, it has been a long season and we have played a lot of games. Some players will be tired, I get that and this game is about trying to get over the line into the play-offs.
“Then we can reboot and start again for next week if that happens. We absolutely need them to give us that little bit of energy and the extra push.
“I know they will and I look forward to seeing them all.”
The players and staff would like to thank supporters following this afternoon’s game against West Brom. A lap of appreciation will take place and all the details can be found here.
