Derby County are set to travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United in the second leg of the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final on Wednesday evening, 7.45pm.

At the half-way point, Frank Lampard’s side have all to play for and head into the second leg looking to overturn the one-goal deficit. Here, dcfc.co.uk has gathered all the information you will need ahead of the clash with Marcel Bielsa’s side.

TEAM NEWS…

Martyn Waghorn was left out of the squad for the first leg clash after suffering an Achilles injury against West Bromwich Albion on the last day of the regular league season. Lampard said he will continue to be assessed ahead of the second-leg and is a maybe.

As is Ashley Cole who has been dealing with a small injury. There are no new injury concerns for Lampard.

WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY…

Speaking to RamsTV, Lampard said; “I believe in the players and the important thing is what we believe in-house.

“I have seen the players, I have seen them develop and I have seen them perform so well to get into the play-offs.

“With the squad that we have, with some young players in there, and a lot of things we have overcome this season, it is one more thing to try and overcome.”

He added: “I said to the players before the match on Saturday that you can lose a play-off tie, two games against Leeds, of course you can lose it, but you have to give everything because we have managed to get into sixth place in the league. We have to give everything and we can certainly win this.

“Belief is key and we have to take belief with us to Elland Road; going there believing that we can turn the result around. What will be will be.”
