Harry Wilson has been named in the EFL’s Team of the Week for his last-gasp Easter Monday heroics in Derby County’s 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
The Welshman hit a double against the R's, bringing his tally to 16 for the season, as he leads the race for the club’s top goalscorer this term.
After Jayden Bogle was brought down in the box, Wilson coolly and confidently stood up to convert from the penalty spot at Pride Park Stadium in the 94th minute, nestling his effort into the bottom corner.
He added the finishing touches in the 101st minute when he and Jack Marriott were clean through in Hoops’ box. Marriott squared to Wilson who beat Joe Lumley with his right-footed shot to bounce into the far corner to lift the Rams to victory and return to the top-six in the Sky Bet Championship.
