Full-back Jayden Bogle has called for focus ahead of this weekend’s crucial Sky Bet Championship clash against Bristol City.
The Rams find themselves a point ahead of the Robins heading into the eagerly-anticipated clash at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.
Derby sit sixth in the table and know a victory against Lee Johnson’s side will put them in a commanding position with only two games of the season remaining as they look to secure a play-off spot.
With three points to play for at a critical stage of the campaign, Bogle has called for his team-mates to keep their focus.
“We have to approach the game in the right way and attack them,” he said. “If you let the nerves get the better of you then that is when things might not go your way.
“If we approach it with the right mindset and the right attitude then we have a great chance of doing well in the game.
“We have three massive games coming up. We need to focus on them, getting the job done and hopefully we will then get into the play-offs.
“From coming into pre-season, the main focus was to get into the play-offs and hopefully achieve something special. I think if we can do that then it would be great for all of us, the fans, and the players.”
The supporters will be right behind Frank Lampard’s side this weekend as they have sold out their away allocation at Ashton Gate.
It’s set to be a huge atmosphere on Saturday afternoon and that could make for an exciting clash.
“The away support, and the home support, has been excellent this season and we just need that for the next three games especially then hopefully three more after that,” Bogle commented.
