Derby County return to Sky Bet Championship action after moving on the FA Cup Fifth Round when they travel to Preston North End on Friday night, kick-off 7:45pm.

Frank Lampard’s side will look to secure back-to-back league wins to solidify their place in the top six and here, dcfc.co.uk has all the information you will need ahead of the clash with Alex Neil’s side.

TEAM NEWS…

Jayden Bogle and Mason Mount will be out of action on Friday night at Deepdale. Bogle will serve a one-match ban for the red card he received against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup tie, whilst Mount picked up a hamstring injury in the same game.

Tom Lawrence, Andre Wisdom and Scott Carson could all be in contention to make a return following their respective injuries.

January signing Ashley Cole could also make his debut for the club, but Lampard has said he will be evaluated day by day as he rebuilds match fitness.

WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY…

Frank Lampard told RamsTV: “We will do all we can to prepare and in my mind, they are in really good form.

“Those two big away wins were difficult ones that they have won, very good at QPR for sure. I think it is something that we have to be really on top of our game, Friday night away from home, it’s a big game for us.

“We are in a good run of form but the only way to continue that is absolute focus in every game. Preston will be tough, and we will have to be ready.

“We just have to focus on ourselves, stay fresh, stay fit, stay healthy and win games. That’s the only thing that is going to get us where we want to be.”

THE LAST MEETING…

The young midfielder gave the Rams the lead after latching on to David Nugent’s cross for his third goal in six appearances for the club.

Mason Bennett came close to doubling the lead but was denied by Declan Rudd while Scott Carson kept out two efforts by Callum Robinson.

Mount turned provider 12 minutes from the final whistle for Keogh to power in the second goal.

Darren Bond will be the man in the middle on Friday night under the lights as Deepdale. He has taken charge of 23 matches so far this season, producing 74 yellow cards and four red cards.
