Derby County’s attention will return to the Sky Bet Championship for their trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Friday night, kick-off: 7:45pm.
Frank Lampard’s side will take on the league leaders for their first away fixture of 2019 looking to extend a three-game unbeaten run and here, dcfc.co.uk has gathered all the information you will need ahead of the clash with Marcelo Biesla’s side.
TEAM NEWS…
Frank Lampard told RamsTV that Harry Wilson will be a doubt for the trip to Elland Road. After scoring his 10th goal of the season, Wilson came off shortly after half-time against Middlesbrough after picking up a knock and was out of action in the FA Cup clash with Southampton.
Scott Malone will be back in contention after missing the last four matches with a muscle issue.
There are no new injury concerns, however Curtis Davies, Craig Forsyth, Mason Bennett, Joe Ledley and Marcus Olsson remain sidelined.
WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY…
Speaking to RamsTV, Lampard said: “Our team has evolved a lot [since the last meeting]. I do think we have come on, and we have worked hard to do that.
“We have changed a bit, our style of play, slightly, and our personnel, definitely, so let’s try and show that we are a different team to the one that lost 4-1 in the second game of the season.”
He added: “The hostile atmosphere is something to contend with. The players should enjoy that.
“It can be difficult going there but it should be a challenge to overcome it and use it in your favour and turn it. We are also coming up against a really good team.
“They are a top team in the league, they have a fluid way of playing and are very good on the ball, they move the ball quickly so there are lots of things for us to contend with but we shouldn’t be shy of it. We should go there with belief, confidence in ourselves and give it our best.”
