Derby County’s Under-23s will look to extend their seven-game unbeaten run when they face Aston Villa on Thursday night at Loughborough University Stadium, kick-off: 7pm.

The young Rams face the Premier League 2 Division 2 side in the Premier League Cup group stage clash with a chance to move to the top of the group.

RAMS’ RECENT FORM…

Darren Wassall’s side have been i-form recently with an unbeaten run dating back to the end of September and will face the reigning cup champions following fou wins on the bounce. Consecutive victories over Brighton and Hove, Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham United in Premier League 2 Division 1 has seen Derby move to second in the league.

The Rams also recorded a 3-1 victory over PSV Eindhoven at the end of October to move to top of their group in the Premier League International Cup following a 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the same competition.

STORY SO FAR…

Derby have taken one point from one game so far in the Premier League Cup following a goalless draw away at Plymouth Argyle.

Aston Villa are currently top of the group after an 8-0 thrashing of Bristol City.
