Manager Frank Lampard praised goalkeeper Scott Carson after he made his 150th appearance for Derby County on Saturday.
Carson, who joined the club from Wigan Athletic in 2015, reached the milestone against Bolton Wanderers this weekend.
Impressively, Carson has now appeared in 125 consecutive league appearances stretching back to January 2016.
Unfortunately Lampard’s side could not get the right result to mark the occasion but the manager had good words to say about his number one.
“I’m delighted to have him,” admitted Lampard, talking to RamsTV. “To turn up here and have a goalkeeper of his quality and a personality like him in the dressing room is great. Those numbers speak for themselves.
“He has consistency, professionalism, quality of play, I feel very fortunate to have him. Scott has always been a hugely talented goalkeeper.
“We all saw that when he came through as a young player. His career has seen him move on to many clubs but I think he has improved, as you would expect him to.
“When you have his work ethic and his professionalism, it generally brings improvement. He is very dedicated and is great with the goalkeepers around him.
“He’s great with the squad generally and first and foremost he is a really talented goalkeeper. Scott can play in any league at any level, he is a top-class goalkeeper.
“To play at this level for that many games back to back, he has all the great attributes, so well done to Scott and long may it continue.”
