Derby County's Under-18s provided last minute heroics to collect a point away from home as they drew 2-2 with Manchester City.
Jordan Brown’s 89th minute piledriver was enough to share the spoils on an evenly contested, sun-drenched clash at the City Football Academy.
It was the Rams who opened the scoring early in the game as Festy Ebosele powerfully drove down the right-hand side before squaring the ball to Morgan Whittaker just inside the penalty area, and his low driven shot put Derby a goal ahead.
For the remainder of the first-half, chances went the way of either side but neither could find another breakthrough and the Rams maintained their lead at half time.
Derby then flew out of the traps to start the second-half, after multiple chances Archie Brown rattled the City crossbar after his powerful shot forced an impressive save from Louie Moulden, who tipped onto the woodwork.
However a second-half brace from City’s Keke Simmonds gave the Citizens the lead with just five minutes left to play.
The City goals were separated by a red card for the Blues’ stopper, Moulden, after he was adjudged to have handled outside of the area.
Just a minute from time Brown gave the substitute goalkeeper no chance as he was found inside the area, and made no mistake in finding the top right corner.
