Derby County's Golden Rams gathered at Pride Park Stadium on Friday morning for the second monthly Coffee Morning.
The hot topic buzzing around the area set aside at the stadium’s Starbucks was, of course, the new manager appointment of Frank Lampard.
The Golden Rams are the longest serving Derby supporters, some following the Rams for eight decades, and have seen their fair share of managers and have rode the highs and lows of the club, remaining fiercely loyal.
Executive Chairman Mel Morris, CBE, spoke candidly about his decision. The mature fans in attendance listened intently and were thrilled with the latest news out of Pride Park.
Approximately 30 people gathered to chat and meet other life-long Derby supporters as well as club ambassador and former player, Roger Davies.
The Golden Rams is a new initiative set up by Mr. Morris to thank the club’s older fans and offer a way to bring them together to share stories of the past as well as the future.
The coffee mornings will be held on the first Friday of each month from 10 am until 12 pm, the next will be July 6th.
