The midfielder played the full 90 minutes of the opening game of the friendly double-header last Sunday, which finished 2-2, before he featured during the first-half of a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
It’s been a long time coming for Babos, who has had to wait until his third call-up to make his debut for Rob Page’s side, and it’s fully deserved after a superb campaign for the Rams.
Babos recorded eight assists in Premier League 2 - Division 1 this season; more than any other player, whilst he also displayed leadership qualities throughout the year.
He wore the captain’s armband for much of the campaign as Darren Wassall’s side secured their place in the top tier of Under-23 football for a third successive season.
The 20-year-old also trained with the first team on numerous occasions and he travelled with the squad to the City Ground for the East Midlands derby against Nottingham Forest in March.
