The Derby County Development Centre trials take place on a regular basis – and the dates for September 2017 have been confirmed.
The Academy holds a series of Open Trial Evenings to find the best young talent in the Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire area.
Since the Development Centres were originally set up, over 60 players have progressed through the Development Centre system to sign for Derby County’s Academy.
Last season, 11 players made the step from the Development Centre to the Derby County Academy, ranging from Under 8s through to Under 14s.
The Development Centre gives children the opportunity to train free of charge on a weekly basis, in an environment that will develop them technically, tactically, psychologically and socially.
Successful trialists will earn a place at their chosen trial venue or given the opportunity in the Rams' Shadow Squads or Academy team.
The latest Foundation Phase trial dates are as follows for school years 1 to 6:
* 5:45pm to 7:00pm 18th September at Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College, Bluestone Lane, Burton on Trent, DE15 9SD
* 5:15pm to 6:30pm 18th September at Leesbrook Community School, Morley Road, Derby, DE21 4QX
* 6:15pm to 7:30pm 20th September at Springwell Community College, Middlecroft Road, Staveley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S43 3NQ
* 6:15pm to 7:30pm 21st September at Brooksby Hall College, Melton Mowbray, LE14 2LJ
* 6:15pm to 7:30pm 22nd September at Kimberley Leisure Centre, Newdigate Street, Kimberley, Nottingham, NG16 2NJ
The Youth Development Phase trial dates are as follows for school years 7 to 10:
* 5:15pm to 6:30pm 11th September at Leesbrook Community School, Morley Road, Derby, DE21 4QX
* 6:15pm to 7:30pm 13th September at Springwell Community College, Middlecroft Road, Staveley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S43 3NQ
