Derby County’s Under-18s travel to USM Finch Farm on Saturday for their first away clash of the new season against Everton (kick-off 12pm).
After a 1-1 draw against Everton’s Merseryside neighbours Liverpool on the opening day of the season, Justin Walker and Rory Delap’s side will be hoping that they can produce another impressive performance this time around.
The last time the Rams faced Everton, back in March, it was Derby who came out on top with a 3-0 victory at home courtesy of strikes from Connor Dixon, Adam Davie and Max Bird.
Second-year scholar Jayden Bogle spoke to dcfc.co.uk this week in the lead-up to the game and he believes that the Rams are more than capable of claiming a positive result.
The defender said: “With the way that we played against Liverpool in the second half, if we carry that on for the game this weekend then I think we’ve definitely got a good chance of getting three points.
“We played Everton at the end of last season and did well to beat them.
“As long as everyone is at it and works hard then we will give ourselves a great chance of getting a positive result.”
