Either Derby County or Grimsby Town will play an away tie in the Second Round of this season’s Carabao Cup against Sky Bet Championship side Barnsley.
The First Round tie between the two sides on Tuesday evening had to be abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch after just 19 minutes, with Derby 1-0 up thanks to Richard Keogh’s early header at Blundell Park.
The game will now be played on Tuesday 22nd August 2017, kick-off 7:45pm.
As the re-arranged match is due to be played during the same week as the Second Round ties, a later date will be have to be found in the winner’s fixture calendar to play their own Second Round clash.
