U23 And U18 Pre-Season Schedules Confirmed

The pre-season schedules for Derby County’s Under-23s and Under-18s have been confirmed ahead of the 2017/18 season.

The two age groups will play five and seven games respectively in their build-up to their campaigns.

Darren Wassall’s Under-23s have got four home games pencilled in – against Sheffield Wednesday, Chivas Guadalajara USA Academy, Barnsley and Stoke City – as well as two away trips to face Gloucester City’s first team and Burnley’s Development squad ahead of their second season as a Premier League 2 Division 1 outfit.

The Under-23s’ pre-season match schedule is as follows:

Friday 14th July – Sheffield Wednesday U23s (H) KO: 12pm
Saturday 22nd July – Chivas Guadalajara USA Academy (H) KO: 12pm
Saturday 29th July – Gloucester City (A) KO: 3pm
Tuesday 1st August – Barnsley U23s (H) KO: 1pm
Saturday 5th August – Stoke City U23s (H) KO: 12pm
Tuesday 8th August – Burnley U23s (A) KO: 1pm

In turn, Justin Walker’s and Rory Delap’s Under-18s have four home matches pencilled in; against Doncaster Rovers, Mansfield Town, Birmingham City and Morecambe, whilst they will also travel to face Carlisle United, Arsenal and Coalville Town over the course of the next five weeks.

The Under-18s pre-season match schedule is as follows:

Saturday 15th July – Doncaster Rovers U18s (H) KO: 11am
Tuesday 18th July – Mansfield Town U18s (H) KO: 12pm
Saturday 22nd July – Carlisle United U18s (A) KO: 1:30pm
Wednesday 26th July – Birmingham City U18s (H) KO: 12pm
Friday 28th July – Morecambe U18s (H) KO: 2pm
Saturday 5th August – Arsenal U18s (A) KO: 12pm
Tuesday 8th August – Coalville Town (A) KO: 7:45pm

All home fixtures will be played at the Training Centre in partnership with the University of Derby.
