Derby County boss Gary Rowett has taken a 19-man squad to Germany for this weekend’s pre-season friendly against Kaiserslautern.
The Rams will take on the 2. Bundesliga side at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion on Saturday (22nd July), with kick-off scheduled for 3pm BST (4pm local time).
Derby flew out to Germany this afternoon and will stay overnight ahead of their fifth pre-season fixture in the lead-up to the start of 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship season.
The players were given 45 minutes each in the opening pre-season games at Kidderminster Harriers and Macclesfield Town, the match time was increased to 90 minutes in the midweek double-header against Doncaster Rovers and Port Vale.
Now though, the preparations begin to increase further ahead of the big kick-off at Sunderland on Friday 4th August.
The travelling part for Kaiserslautern is as follows: Scott Carson, Jonathan Mitchell, Craig Forsyth, Richard Keogh, Alex Pearce, Chris Baird, Marcus Olsson, Andre Wisdom, Tom Huddlestone, Craig Bryson, Bradley Johnson, Jamie Hanson, Jacob Butterfield, Ikechi Anya, Andreas Weimann, Mason Bennnett, Chris Martin, David Nugent, Johnny Russell.
Striker Darren Bent was injured in Tuesday’s friendly at Port Vale and joins Nick Blackman, George Thorne, Matej Vydra, Jason Shackell and Max Lowe in being unavailable for the game.
Defender Curtis Davies has remained at home due to personal reasons.
