Derby County’s players completed their first full day at their training base in Tenerife today.
The Rams’ squad arrived in the Canary Islands yesterday evening and, after a light session upon arrival and a good night’s sleep, they were put through their paces by Gary Rowett and his coaching staff.
The first training session of the day got underway just after 8:30am and provided plenty of football work for around two hours.
Andre Wisdom, ahead of completing his transfer from Liverpool at lunchtime, trained with the squad as they took part in various technical drills.
The morning was rounded off, as the temperature began to rise, with an 11 Vs 11 with Rowett intervening when required to offer his take on certain situations within the game.
After taking some time to recover, the players took in their second training session of the day in the early evening.
A lighter session compared to earlier in the day, the players went through some passing and finishing exercises.
Another double session lies in wait tomorrow…
