Derby County will get their pre-season games programme underway this evening.
Gary Rowett’s side will play a total of seven friendly matches in the lead-up to the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship season.
First up for Derby is a trip to National League - North side Kidderminster Harriers tonight (7:45pm kick-off).
Kidderminster are managed by former Rams midfielder John Eustace, who played 62 times for the club during his playing days.
He made nine appearances during a loan spell in 2009, before signing permanently in 2013 and went on to clock up 53 more over the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.
After announcing his retirement as a result of a knee injury following his departure from Derby two summers ago, Eustace has stepped into management and guided Kidderminster narrowly close to promotion last term, only to taste play-off disappointment.
Tonight’s game will see Derby boss Rowett field a separate side in each half and allow as many players as possible the opportunity to get match time under their belts.
After starting pre-season training just under two weeks ago and fresh from a week-long training camp in Tenerife, preparations are beginning to increase ahead of the new season.
Supporters will also have the first chance to see summer signings Curtis Davies and Andre Wisdom in action following their arrivals from Hull City and Liverpool respectively.
A confirmed squad list for the game, it is hoped, will be revealed on dcfc.co.uk later this afternoon for supporters wishing to know which players will feature at Aggborough Stadium.
Supporters can watch the game on RamsTV's live stream for FREE - simply by registering an account on dcfc.co.uk.
As ever, a full match report and reaction will also be on dcfc.co.uk and RamsTV after the game.
