Derby County forward Tom Ince has been named on the four-man shortlist for the Sky Bet Championship’s Player of the Month Award for November.

It proved to be a fruitful month for Ince, whose fine form helped the Rams to three wins from as many matches to continue their rise up the table.

The wideman scored twice in Derby’s 3-2 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of November, before bagging another brace in the Rams’ 3-0 home win over Rotherham United two weeks later.

The shortlist is as follows:

Tom Ince (Derby County) – striker

Four goals in three games for the 24-year-old who is tapping into a rich vein of form. Happiest when he is floating across the front line and attacking defenders at pace, he scored twice in each of the wins over Wolves and Rotherham.

Tomasz Kuzsczak (Birmingham City) – goalkeeper

Brilliant in all three games in a month in which Birmingham picked up seven points largely because of his agility and reflexes. Pulled off a remarkable series of saves in the win over Bristol City despite breaking his nose in the game.

Henri Lansbury (Nottingham Forest) - midfielder

Given freer rein to go forward this season, he is taking full advantage of his more advanced position. An assured and consistent driving force for Forest, he excelled in the 5-2 win at Barnsley with the first hat-trick of his career.

Steve Sidwell (Brighton & Hove Albion) - midfielder

A wonder goal from two yards inside his own half in the 2-0 win at Bristol City was the obvious highlight of his month, but it was his steadying influence in the Albion midfield which had the biggest impact as they consolidated second place.

ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY 9th DECEMBER 2016.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
