The Derby version of the popular MONOPOLY board game was officially revealed this morning – and Derby County is delighted to be featuring very prominently on it.
Winning Moves UK are the DEVELOPERS of the official MONOPOLY: Derby Edition board, which is now available to purchase from all good toy and book stores in Derby.
The official launch ceremony took place at Derby Silk Mill this morning and in total, 27 Derby landmarks feature on the board - with Derby County taking up the second top spot, at Park Lane.
The new ‘Mayfair of Derby’ is Derby Silk Mill, while at the other end of the board Railway Terrace in Derby City Centre has been announced as the Old Kent Road square.
The launch was attended by the Mayor of the City of Derby Cllr. Linda Winter.
Derby County’s President & Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We’re delighted that Derby County will be featuring on the Derby version of the Monopoly game.
“It’s a fantastic idea to create a Derby-themed edition of MONOPOLY, which is one of the most popular board games in the country, and celebrate the many great things about our city.”
