Derby County’s Futsal A team were beaten 6-4 by Notts County on Wednesday in a thrilling encounter between the two East Midlands sides.
Derby’s goals on the day were scored by Jacob Taylor, Jorge Knowles (2) and Josh Allsop and, despite the defeat, the Rams remain third in the table.
Coach Jacob Straw commented: “We put in a good performance and were disappointed not to come away with anything as we were really pushing for an equaliser towards the end.
“Hopefully we’ll learn from this, especially as we could have done better in a few situations and put in a good performance against Burton Albion in our next game in two weeks.”
All players in Derby County’s Fustal teams are part of Community Trust’s education programmes in partnership with Derby College.
