Former Derby County defenders Marc Edworthy and Gareth Roberts are the latest names to sign up for Shaun Barker’s Testimonial game.

The duo will feature for Shaun Barker’s XI, which will go head-to-head with a current Derby County XI on Thursday 24th March (7pm kick-off).

Edworthy, who is now 43, was part of Derby’s 2006/07 promotion-winning side that reached the Barclays Premier League. The full-back made 85 appearances for the club between July 2005 and June 2008. He made over 500 professional appearances and also played for Plymouth Argyle, Crystal Palace, Coventry City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City, Leicester City and Burton Albion before hanging up his boots.

Roberts, 38, is currently playing for National League North side Stockport County. The former Wales international joined Derby in the summer of 2010 from Doncaster Rovers and played 104 times before leaving at the end of his contract following the conclusion of the 2012/13 campaign. The former Liverpool trainee also represented Tranmere Rovers, Greek side Panionios, Bury, Notts County and Chester before linking up with Stockport last summer.
