Derby County forward Mason Bennett has joined Sky Bet League 1 table-toppers Burton Albion on loan.
The 19-year-old has made the temporary move to the Pirelli Stadium for the remainder of the season on a loan youth deal, with Derby holding the option to recall the player at any point following the first 28 days of his spell with the Brewers.
Bennett, who has made 14 appearances and scored four times for Derby’s Under 21 side this season, links up with former Rams boss Nigel Clough in Staffordshire.
The Academy graduate, who is Derby’s youngest-ever player after making his debut at the age of 15 in 2011, was an unused substitute for the first-team in last Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie at Hartlepool United.
He has had loan spells at Chesterfield and Bradford City in recent seasons to gain first-team experience.
