Rams celebrate their first year with iPro Sport.
A year ago this weekend, Derby County entered into an exciting stadium naming rights agreement with iPro Sport.
The Club revealed that the global sports drink company were to become the club's first-ever stadium naming rights partner, in a 10 year agreement worth £7 million that would see Pride Park Stadium renamed as the iPro Stadium.
Derby played their first game at the newly-named iPro Stadium against Blackpool in the Sky Bet Championship, live on Sky Sports, on Saturday 7th December 2013, and ran out thumping 5-1 winners.
The Rams’ home form has been nothing short of outstanding in the last 12 months and, since being associated with iPro Sport, the side have won 19 and drawn four of their 27 matches on home turf in all competitions. During that time, the side has registered an impressive 58 goals.
Since the official opening of the iPro Stadium, Derby and iPro have continued to work closely on a number of projects and the relationship is growing from strength to strength.
iPro Sport are now partnered with a number of Football League and Scottish Premiership sides and are the fasted-growing company in their industry within the UK.
Derby County’s Chief Operating Officer John Vicars explained: “We couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to agree a stadium naming rights deal with iPro.
“As with any major decision it was very important for us to choose the right brand, the right people and the right product and a year on that has proved to be very much the case.
“We now look forward to working with them for many years to come and sharing in each other’s success.”
Lisa Marraffa, Marketing Director of iPro Sport, said: “iPro Sport are absolutely delighted to have forged such a strong relationship with Derby County, who have been extremely supportive of our needs while sharing our passion for the game and vision of the future.
“During our time together Derby have been successful on the pitch and iPro Sport has also established a firm grip on the Championship - agreeing hydration deals with half of the clubs in the league – and we both hope to be in the Premier League at this time next year.”
She added: “For the first time, iPro Sport is now on sale in many Co Op and independent stores, and will also arrive in Spar stores before Christmas too.”
To celebrate the Rams’ one-year anniversary with iPro Sport, the Club is encouraging supporters to take part in a poll to select their favourite game, goal and save at the iPro Stadium in the last year.
