Watch the Rams unveil the permanent memorial plaque in video format.

The memorial plaque commemorating the six Derby County players that died in the First World War was revealed prior to Derby County's home game with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

2014 marks 100 years since the start of the Great War and after being initially suggested by Ken Wilson and progressed by Anton Rippon, Derby County teamed up with Garry McBride and Evans Concrete to construct a 5ft by 4ft cast concrete plaque. The plaque, which has been made from white Spanish dolomite, has been situated right next to the Lionel Pickering Entrance and bears the names of six former players of the club who died in the First World War.

President & Chief Executive, Club Chaplain Tony Luke and representatives from the Mercian Regiment, amongst other guests, were all in attendance at the official unveiling.
