Rams full-back called up for international duty by Wales' Under 21s.

Derby County’s Kieron Freeman has been named in the Wales Under 21 squad for their UEFA Under 21 qualifier with England at Swansea City’s Liberty Stadium on Monday 19th May 2014.

The match is part of the fixtures calender in Group 1 that also includes Finland, Lithuania, San Marino and Moldova.

The 22-year-old full-back recently returned to Derby after spending the latter stages of the campaign on loan at League 1 Sheffield United, where he made 12 appearances.

Earlier in the season he spent three months on loan at another League 1 side, Notts County, where he appeared on 15 occasions.

He will return to Derby following the game to train with the squad in the lead-up to the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final against Queens Park Rangers at Wembley on Saturday 24th May 2014 (3pm).

Freeman has made seven appearances for Derby this season in all competitions, the last of which came in mid-September against Leicester City in the Third Round of the Capital One Cup.

In total he has made 27 appearances since joining the Rams from local rivals Nottingham Forest at the beginning of last season.
