Derby reveal Play-Off Final competition winner.
Archie Nelson will lead Derby County out at Wembley Stadium this weekend for the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final against Queens Park Rangers.
The nine-year-old, who attends Homefields Primary School in Chellaston, was selected as the winner of Derby’s competition to be the Rams’ Mascot at Wembley Stadium.
Rather than selling the package for the Play-Off Final, Derby announced last week that they would be giving away the opportunity to a Rams Squad Member in a random prize draw.
Archie was surprised in a school assembly on Wednesday morning by Derby's Club Mascot Rammie, who delivered the news that he would be walking out alongside skipper Richard Keogh on Saturday afternoon.
Archie’s mum Debbie and brother Tom were also in attendance and his classmates joined in the celebrations to congratulate him on his prize.
Derby County would like to thank Homefields Primary School, and in particular Headteacher Mrs King, for allowing the Club to make the special presentation to Archie.
