Work begins to get the iPro Stadium ready for its big launch.
Work is underway ahead of what will be Derby County’s first game at the newly-named iPro Stadium on Saturday 7th December.
Derby announced a 10-year agreement with global sports drink company iPro earlier this month, which is worth £7 million in total over the duration of the deal.
The ground-breaking sponsorship will see the iPro Stadium stage its first-ever game when Derby take on Blackpool next Saturday (12:15pm kick-off), in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
During the next two weeks the Rams will be rolling out a project to install all the new signage and artwork to ensure the stadium is ready for its grand opening.
Supporters will notice iPro branding and signage around the stadium for the game against Middlesbrough on Wednesday 4th December (7:45pm), but should note it will not officially be the iPro Stadium until the day of the Blackpool game.
Derby County’s Chief Operating Officer John Vicars said: “People will start to see the new signage being erected from today in readiness for the official unveiling of the iPro Stadium.
“The signage which is predominantly black and white in colour and features the Derby County ‘Ram’ will appear both inside and outside of the stadium and weather conditions permitting will be in place for Saturday 7 December 2013.”
