Derby County’s Under-18s continued their excellent start to the 2024/25 season with a 6-0 victory at Blackburn Rovers in Under-18 Premier League - North on Saturday afternoon.
Luke Banks, Adisa Osayande, Demiane Agustien (2) and Justin Oguntolu (2) were on the scoresheet as Danny Maye’s side made it six games unbeaten in all competitions to start the campaign.
Defender Banks put the Rams in front after just 11 minutes from the penalty spot to set them on their way in Lancashire.
Fellow defender Osayande doubled the lead before the 20 minute-mark after being teed up by Agustien.
Midfielder Agustien put the Rams three goals to the good just before the hour-mark before forward Oguntolu made it 4-0 with just under 15 minutes remaining.
Derby went on to make it five with ten minutes left with Oguntolu netting his second goal of the game.
Agustien rounded off the scoring deep into stoppage time to confirm another emphatic victory for the Rams’ youngsters.
Maye’s side have picked up four wins and a draw from their five league outings this term, scoring an incredible 22 goals in the process.
The Under-18s are back at Moor Farm in league action on Saturday 28th September when they host Middlesbrough (12:30pm kick-off).

Under-18 Lead Coach Danny Maye, speaking after the final whistle, said: “It was a dominant display today. We didn't have many opportunities to press, but we did have a lot of the ball and played out well.
“This dropped their line off and gave us a chance to dominate the ball. At times we needed to run behind more to exploit the space behind. This did get better as the game went on.
“We went into half time 2-0 up but were disappointed it wasn't more. In the second half we were much calmer with the ball; we had more fluidity with excellent midfield movement.
“When we had chances to press, we showed some very good behaviours. We were 5-0 up pretty quickly and at this point, we should have had more control. However, we got a little complacent and allowed the game to become stretched for ten minutes. After that we went back to doing simple things well and scored an excellent sixth goal.
“There were some very good lessons today and it was a pleasing team performance overall.”
