Goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom says Derby County’s ‘amazing team spirit’ will be crucial as they look to get more points on the board when they go head-to-head with Portsmouth at Pride Park Stadium on Friday night (8pm kick-off).

The 26-year-old kept his fourth league clean sheet of the season when the Rams earned a point against Burnley on Tuesday evening in a 0-0 draw.

The shot-stopper has made 18 appearances in the Sky Bet Championship since joining Derby from Swedish top-flight side Djurgården over the summer.

Zetterstrom spoke to RamsTV to preview Friday night’s action under the lights on home turf.

On getting a clean sheet away from home on Tuesday night…

Well, first of all, I'm very happy with the result. It's always nice to get a clean sheet and to do that at a very tough place like Burnley was pleasing. Every point is important and to get that performance away from home in such a tough place is extremely important, not just for the points taken but also for the morale and the team spirit it creates.

Looking at it performance-wise, I think it was just an amazing team effort from the entire group. We did an amazing job defensively and also created enough chances to actually get something there as well.

On facing Portsmouth at Pride Park Stadium on Friday…

It’s an important game. We've all seen the league table, there are a lot of teams with the same number of points, and every single point gained is absolutely crucial. We did well on Tuesday against Burnley, and I believe we can continue on that trend. We did a great job against Leeds as well, against a side that is very good, despite losing 2-0. We improved further against Burnley and got a point there. If we can continue with that then, the remaining games in December can be very fun. Obviously, to get three points against Portsmouth this Friday is what we want to try to start with.
