Four Derby County Academy players have been called up by their countries for the November international window.

Daniel Cox and Cruz Allen have been called up to the Wales Under-19 squad, while Niall McAndrew and Freddie Turley have been selected for the Republic of Ireland Under-19s.

Daniel Cox and Cruz Allen - Wales Under-19

Defender Daniel Cox and attacking midfielder Cruz Allen are in line to play three fixtures for Wales Under-19s in the UEFA Under-19 European Championship Qualifiers.

Cox has played four Premier League 2 games for Derby Under-21s this season and has made two outings since joining National League South side Enfield Town on a short-term loan deal in October.

The defender also captained the Cymru Under-19 side in their 2-2 draw with Italy in the October international period.

Allen netted in the Rams Under-21s' recent dramatic 4-3 Premier League Cup victory over Chelsea. The 17-year-old has made seven appearances in the league for Jake Buxton’s side and one outing for the Under-18s this term.

Wales are in qualifying Group 5, with Scotland, Liechtenstein and France. The fixtures will be played in Scotland.

Three of the 12 qualifying groups are already underway, but Wales will kick off Group 5 when they play Scotland on Wednesday 13th November (3pm kick-off) and France on Saturday 16th November (7:30pm kick-off).

The first two ties will be played at the Fourthbank Stadium in Stirling, with the final game of the group against Liechtenstein on Tuesday 19th November (7:30pm kick-off) at Cappielow Park in Greenock.

Niall McAndrew and Freddie Turley – Republic of Ireland Under-19

The Republic of Ireland Under-19s will also compete in the Under-19 European Championship Qualifiers. Moldova, Azerbaijan and Iceland will compete against the Irish side in Group 7.

Niall McAndrew has featured six times for the Under-21s in Premier League 2 this season and scored in a crucial 4-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last month. The 17-year-old attacker made eight appearances across the Under-16 and Under-17 levels before joining up with the Under-19 squad for the first time in the October international period.

Freddie Turley joined the Under-21s from Shamrock Rovers over the summer and has featured in seven Premier League 2 games with the Under-21s, most recently plying his trade in the centre of the park in a 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.

The versatile defensive midfielder was also selected in the first team squad for Derby’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Queens Park Rangers in October and was an unused substitute.

Ireland will play the group matches in Moldova, starting with their clash against the host nation on Wednesday 13th November (12pm kick-off), Azerbaijan on Saturday 16th November (10am kick-off) and Iceland on Tuesday 19th November (11am kick-off).
