Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has joined up with the Guatemala international squad for their October CONCACAF Nations League fixtures.

The Derby County forward has registered 11 appearances and three assists in all competitions for Paul Warne’s side so far this term on their return to the Sky Bet Championship. The Rams have won four from five games at Pride Park Stadium and sit 12th in the table after nine games.

The 32-year-old will link up with the Guatemala squad for fixtures against Guyana (Saturday 12th October) and Costa Rica (Tuesday 15th October).

Mendez-Laing featured for both of Los Chapines’ Nations League Group A qualifying fixtures last month, as they won 3-1 against Martinique and played out a goalless draw with Costa Rica.

He has received 13 caps for his nation since making his debut in June 2023.
