Derby County’s Under-18s continued their unbeaten start to the 2024/25 season in Under-18 Premier League - North with a 6-0 trouncing of Leeds United on Saturday.
Danny Maye’s side hit six without reply in West Yorkshire to remain top of the table, with Charles Ebuka Agbawodikeizu bagging four in the first half before midfielder Owen Eames got on the scoresheet with a double in the second half.
Agbawodikeizu opened the scoring after just eight minutes before netting a quickfire double ahead of the half-hour mark to complete his hat-trick.
The striker added his and Derby’s fourth two minutes prior to half-time to round off an impressive opening 45 minutes.
Eames added Derby’s fifth of the afternoon with 74 minutes played before he added another in the final minute to round off the scoring.
The Under-18s return to action with a trip to Everton on Saturday 2nd November (12pm kick-off).

Speaking after the final whistle, Under-18 Lead Coach Danny Maye said: “It was a very clinical display today and the best we've performed in both boxes. Harley Price pulled off some excellent saves at key times and Charles Ebuka Agbawodikeizu was clinical early in the game.
“Despite the scoreline, Leeds are a good team and caused us problems with their possession. We transitioned well from a 4-5-1 line-up into a pressing shape today. A lot of our chances came from these moments. It was also great to see the players fight until the end and earn a clean sheet.
“With the ball we played some good football and showed patience. At times our distances should have been closer to have more control. However, we did create a lot of chances through speeding up at the right times and playing through lines.
“Overall, it was a really pleasing performance and a lot of strong individual performances. It was a good mix of first and second year scholars today, so it was great to see them combine well as a team.”
