Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne and members of his backroom staff have been raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK throughout this month.

Warne, alongside Assistant Head Coach Richie Barker, First Team Coach Matt Hamshaw and First Team Goalkeeper Coach Andy Warrington, have been taking part in Prostate United during October.

Prostate United, now in its seventh year, is a fundraising challenge taking place throughout the month for staff members working for professional football clubs and, of course, supporters can play their part too.

Those taking part can sign up to walk, run or cycle every day in October and help save men’s lives. Why? Because prostate cancer kills one man every 45 minutes - that’s half a football match.

Whether you are part of a team or going solo, you won’t be alone. Sign up, track your progress on Strava, and connect with other fans on Facebook, WhatsApp and X. Cheer each other on right up to the final whistle!

Every activity you complete and every pound you raise helps fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments to save men’s lives.

You can support Paul, Richie, Matt and Andy by making a donation to their fundraising here.

About Prostate Cancer UK

Prostate Cancer UK's top priority is funding research to stop prostate cancer killing men. They invest millions to find better treatments and better tests that can spot fast-growing cancers early and could be used in a screening programme to save thousands of lives.

The Prostate Cancer Charity was founded in 1996 by Professor Jonathan Waxman to address the 'Outrageous and arbitrary surgical treatment of men'.

They were the first national organisation for prostate cancer in the UK. Prostate Cancer UK’s aim was to improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, increase investment in research, and raise public and political awareness of a long-neglected disease.

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, they aim to stop prostate cancer being a killer.
