We look at what events are coming up during the month of September for the Men’s first team, as well as the Under-21s and Under-18s at Academy level, the Women’s first-team, club events, community campaigns and birthdays across Derby County.
After a perfect weekend for the club - with the Men’s first team, Under-21s, Under-18s and Women’s first team all claiming victory - we enter into the first men’s international break of the season.
September will see 14 matches played across the month as the club continues to progress into the 2024/25 season.
Sunday 1st September – Women’s First Team 2-1 West Bromwich Albion (H) 2pm
The Ewes got the month off to a winning start on Sunday against the Baggies as Kira Rai’s late goal claimed all three points at the Don Amott Arena.
Sunday 1st September - Monday 9th September – Rams International Fixtures
Eight players from the Men's First Team and Academy level have been selected to represent their nations in the international break. Senior players Jacob Widell Zetterström (Sweden), Ebou Adams (Gambia), Tawanda Chirewa (Zimbabwe), Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (Guatemala) and out-on-loan Darren Robinson (Northern Ireland U21) will all be on duty for their nations. Meanwhile, Academy players Freddie Turley (Republic of Ireland U19), Dan Cox (Wales U19) and Cruz Allen (Wales U18) will also be in action.
Sunday 8th September - Women’s First Team Vs Halifax (A) 2pm
Sam Griffiths’ team will be looking for their third win in a row in all competitions when they travel north after late drama against Loughborough Lightning in the FA Women's National League Cup Determining Round and West Bromwich Albion in the league, which saw them claim victory in both fixtures on home turf.
Friday 13th September – Bradley celebrates birthday!
Derby centre-back Sonny Bradley will celebrate his 33rd birthday. Bradley has made 45 appearances for the Rams since joining in July 2023 and was a major part of the side’s promotion back to the Championship last term.
Friday 13th September - Under-21s Vs AFC Bournemouth (H) 7pm
Jake Buxton’s side will face AFC Bournemouth at Moor Farm Training Centre in their first Premier League Cup fixture of the 2024/25 campaign.
Saturday 14th September - Under-18s Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (A) 12:30pm
Danny Maye’s Under-18s side will meet Wolves at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground in the Under-18 Premier League - North. They will be looking to continue their impressive unbeaten run with three wins and 20 goals scored in four games so far in the 2024/25 campaign.
Saturday 14th September - Men’s First Team Vs Cardiff City (H) 3pm
Paul Warne’s side will be looking to keep their perfect record in the 2024/25 campaign at Pride Park Stadium when they host the Bluebirds in the Sky Bet Championship after the international break.
Sunday 15th September – Radcliffe’s birthday!
Under-21s defender Ben Radcliffe will celebrate his 21st birthday.
Sunday 15th September - Women’s First Team Vs Liverpool Feds (H) 2pm
The Ewes will host Liverpool Feds at the Don Amott Arena in their third home game of the 2024/25 season.
Tuesday 17th September - Under-21s Vs Wrexham (A) 1pm
The Under-21s will travel to Wales to play their Central League fixture against the Red Dragons’ Academy side.
Thursday 19th September – Barker’s birthday!
Former Derby defender and RamsTV co-commentator and pundit Shaun Barker will celebrate his 42nd birthday.
Saturday 21st September – Under-18s Vs Blackburn Rovers (A) 12:30pm
The Under-18s will travel to Lancashire for their Under-18 Premier League - North clash with Blackburn Rovers.
Saturday 21st September - Men’s First Team Vs Sheffield United (A) 3pm
The Rams head to South Yorkshire to play Sheffield United at Bramall Lane and will be searching for their first win on the road in the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship.
Sunday 22nd September – Women’s First Team Vs Rugby Borough (A) 2pm
The Women will face Rugby Borough on the road in the league. The side is new to the league after being moved from the FA Women’s National League - Southern Premier Division to the Northern Premier Division ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Sunday 22nd September – Under-21s Vs Liverpool (A) 2pm
Jake Buxton’s side will travel to Merseyside to play Liverpool in their fourth Premier League 2 fixture of the campaign.
Sunday 22nd September – Warne’s two-year anniversary!
It will be two years since Paul Warne became the Rams' Head Coach in September 2022 - he would go on to secure automatic promotion back to the Championship in the 2023/24 season. He has been supported by Richie Barker, Matt Hamshaw and Andy Warrington throughout his time at Pride Park.
Monday 23rd September – Blackett-Taylor’s birthday!
Ringer Corey Blackett-Taylor will turn 27 years old. He joined Paul Warne’s Derby squad on loan from Charlton Athletic in January 2024 and became a permanent member of the team over the summer.
Wednesday 25th September - Women’s First Team Vs Stoke City (H) 7:45pm
The Ewes’ first midweek fixture on their league fixture list will see them face off with the Potters at the Don Amott Arena under the floodlights.
Saturday 28th September - Men’s First Team Vs Norwich City (H) 12:30pm
Derby will host Norwich City at Pride Park Stadium in their final match of the month. The clash with the Canaries is an early kick-off as the fixture will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football.
Saturday 28th September - Under-18s Vs Middlesbrough (H) 12:30pm
Danny Maye’s team will host Middlesbrough at Moor Farm Training Centre in their latest Under-18 Premier League - North outing.
Monday 30th September - Under-21s Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (H) 7pm
The Under-21s will play the club’s final game of the month when they clash with Wolves in Premier League 2 at the Proctor Cars Stadium in Matlock.
