Derby County will be in Carabao Cup action on Tuesday night when they face Sky Bet League Two side Chesterfield at Pride Park Stadium (7:45pm kick-off).
The clash will be the Rams' first competitive game of the 2024/25 season at Pride Park Stadium after Paul Warne's side began the Sky Bet Championship season last Friday against Blackburn Rovers, going down 4-2 at Ewood Park.
Team News
Paul Warne is hoping to have the majority of his squad available for selection for the Rams’ first cup game of the 2024/25 season.
Forward Jerry Yates will not be available for selection once again as he continues to serve the three-match suspension he picked up on the final day of last season when playing for Swansea City.
Derby’s other summer signings Kayden Jackson, Ben Osborn, Kenzo Goudmijn and David Ozoh could all be in line to play their first minutes of knock-out football for the Rams and their first official home fixtures in a Derby shirt.
Defender Jake Rooney remains unavailable after picking up a knee injury in pre-season while Joe Ward (knee) and Corey Blackett-Taylor (quad) are having their fitness checked after sitting out the Blackburn trip with injuries.
